FO I.T. Client and Sales facing is an IT group providing applications to the Investment Bank Global Market Front Office for e-commerce of EQD, fixed income and Forex products. It comprises approximately 250 people across London, Paris, New York and Mumbai. Amongst other things, this group is responsible for the development of the award-winning Cortex application.
Global Markets I.T. Client and Sales Facing is an IT group providing applications to the Investment Bank Global Markets Front Office for e-commerce of both EQD and fixed income products. It comprises approximately 250 people across London, Paris, New York, Lisbon and Mumbai. Amongst other things, this group is responsible for the development of the award-winning Cortex and Smart Derivatives applications.
Within this department, GM IT Research & Content is responsible for the development of applications to support creation, distribution and ongoing management of research content.
The last major project was the delivery of a mobile application for both Android and IOS. To reflect the change in technology that Mobile application introduce, we will need to rethink our current technology solutions and we are now looking for a candidate who will help building the next generation of Research application as a multi-channel distribution platform.

The Requirements
Essential
· Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field or demonstrable relevant experience.
· Proven experience in leading website and mobile application development teams in an Agile environment, preferably within financial sector
· Proficiency in Java Full Stack development along with UI development using React and/or Angular JS
· Strong understanding and implementation of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
· Knowledge of database systems and understanding how to integrate databases into applications
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills, to effectively engage with stakeholders and development teams, and experience in leading cross-functional workshops
· Experience in managing distributed teams, including onshore and offshore units
· Proficiency in using version control systems like Git, Bitbucket, TeamCity for collaborative development and code management.
· Understanding of server-side technologies to build APIs that mobile apps can interact with
· Understanding of mobile specific concepts such as responsive design, touch events, device capabilities and performance optimisation for mobile device
Preferred
· Understanding of mobile development, including CI/CD processes for Mobile.
· Awareness of security protocols and best practices for developing secure web and mobile applications
· Comprehensive understanding of regulatory compliance standards and security protocols relevant to the financial industry
· Proficiency in relevant programming languages, frameworks such as HTML/CSS, and other JavaScript frameworks/libraries used in building complex and interactive web applications
· Demonstrable understanding of having supported requirements definition in agile / DevOps environments
· Knowledge of relevant industry and market trends, especially the emergence of Fintech, and their potential impact / opportunities for established players
