As a Governance, Risk & Compliance Coordinator, you will assist and support in the identification, assessment, management and reporting of operational level risk and aid the progression of a risk aware culture. You will partner with the business to maintain and contribute to the improvement of risk and governance related systems, processes, procedures, tools & training resources. Working within the Office of the CEO, you’ll enjoy a close connection to our senior leadership team, providing an opportunity to exert influence throughout the organisation.

In this position, you will:

  • proactively provide advice on managing risk and compliance during change and business operations
  • report on new or changed risks by monitoring external industry and market changes, and internal trends
  • drive and oversee the completion of corrective actions to mitigate risk and ensure compliance
  • support critical governance functions such as document and records management, handling of incidents and feedback, and board reporting
  • lead by example and champion yourtown values

The right candidate for this role will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications and two or more years’ experience in a risk management, policy, and/or a compliance-related role. Alternatively, candidates with four years of experience in a risk management, policy, legal, or compliance position are encouraged to apply.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to influence and liaise across a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Strong written communication skills with proven skills in writing reports, briefings, and procedures with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong critical thinking and analysis skills, combined with a keen attention to detail when operating within tight deadlines and successfully handling conflicting priorities.
