- $53.1888 per hour + super + NFP salary packaging
- Hybrid working: work from home and our Collingwood Hub
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
The Government Engagement Senior Advisor, reporting to the Chief Officer – Partnerships & Engagement, is a senior role that works across the organisation at all levels and is a key contributor to the strategic thinking, planning and relationship management of the organisation and improves the effectiveness of our government engagement and advocacy.
Externally, your focus will be on meeting and nurturing relationships with key State and Federal MPs, advisers and supporting staff government roles and ensuring senior Launch Housing team members are engaged and informed through partnerships at both a State and Federal level. You’ll work across Launch Housing’s programs and teams to develop strategic asks and synthesise complex information to create a compelling narrative that can be tailored to a variety of government stakeholders.
Internally, you’ll focus on taking considered care in developing new systems and procedures in how we define best practice in developing Government partnerships at all levels. You’ll be a catalyst for change within Launch Housing that will see a new level of strategy and professionalism in how we work with stakeholders, as measured by the quality, quantity, transparency, and impact of partnerships. You’re also a key ally and collaborator with the Research, Evaluation & Data (RED) team in creating Launch Housing’s advocacy plan.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR (KEY SELECTION CRITERIA)
- A successful history of working in a government engagement function.
- Experience in developing and successfully implementing stakeholder engagement plans.
- Significant experience of managing engagement with one or more of the stakeholder cohort referred to above.
- A clear understanding of issues pertaining to housing, homelessness and its links with multiple portfolios including health and education.
- A sound and contemporary knowledge of communication systems and their effectiveness in engaging with members and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated commitment to the values of Launch Housing and our mission to end homelessness.
