Ansons Consulting Ltd is a small, progressive consultancy business that delivers high-quality
sustainable travel and transport solutions to a range of clients, including charities, local
authorities, regional organisations and private companies.

We are seeking to recruit one or more of the following roles: a Graduate Consultant, Consultant and / or Senior Consultant. 

Applicants should have a passion for and – ideally – experience of delivering projects designed to promote active and sustainable travel. More
specifically, we are looking for candidates who have a range of relevant technical skills and experience, and
the ability to help deliver a variety of exciting and challenging projects focused on
understanding and influencing travel behaviour.

Typical Ansons’ projects include delivering feasibility studies, social research, stakeholder
engagement processes and transport strategies, as well as the design, delivery and evaluation of
behaviour change interventions. The role will involve working with existing clients and
developing relationships with new clients.

  • Experience-level (varies, depending on role): Experience working in a consultancy environment & / or a degree (or similar) in a relevant discipline.
  • Office Location: Leith, Edinburgh (although work-related travel may be required). Working from home may be available, subject to this satisfying business needs.
  • Salary: Competitive (depending on role, experience, skills and qualifications).
  • Contract: Permanent role following completion of a three month probation period.
  • Hours: Consideration will be given to requests for part-time working in this role, subject to this
    satisfying business needs.


Key accountabilities

Depending on experience and qualifications, the post-holder will be required to:

  • (Help) manage and deliver successful projects (e.g. in terms of content, time, cost and
    quality);
  • Provide support for business growth (including development of proposals to enable work winning for the team) and business management;
  • Contribute towards effective team performance; and
  • With support from senior staff, manage and drive their career path and develop their own
    networks.
