Summary of Job Duties:
The Grant Accounting Manager reports to the Associate Director of Grant Administration for Fulbright College. This position will manage reporting for grants within Fulbright College and work directly with departments and units as assigned to support their post-award accounting and grant management. The primary focus for this position is grant accounting for CHBC.
The management of these grants includes, but is not limited to, regular balance reporting; processing procurement and accounting transactions as needed; assisting departmental staff with hiring and associated personnel business processes; effort certification for assigned departments; and support of faculty in financial and project reporting as requested.
This position will also act as the grant manager for the Fulbright Dean’s Office, supporting the sponsored programs activities of all faculty and staff working within that unit.
This position will perform other duties as assigned.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, general business, or related field
At least two years of experience in auditing, accounting, or a related area
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience with financial management and reporting
Experience with Workday accounting system
Demonstrated experience working with sponsored research accounting
Demonstrated customer service skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and principles of accounting
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of accounting principles and database management
Ability to comprehend and assimilate technical and business-related documents
Ability to conduct research and prepare reports
