With oversight from the Senior Grants and Contracts Officer, the Grants and Financial Intern will assist the team with data, research, and documentation review, as part of the Legal Services Technical Unit. This includes programs that provide legal services to unaccompanied children, asylum seekers, and Afghan families. (S)he will play a key role in helping ensure that relevant data (qualitative and quantitative), backup documentation, resources, and research are readily available for monthly invoicing, internal reports, and grant reporting. The intern will also assist with special projects that include but are not limited to: research for Children’s Legal Services (CLS) Spanish language program, graphic design (using Canva) for newsletters and annual reports, and CLS weekly email update. The intern may perform a series of limited clerical and administrative duties, as needed.
COMMITMENT: 4-6 months, at least 12-15 hours per week. Additional hours may be possible during the summer.
This is an unpaid internship position. No financial compensation, including compensation for relocation, is available.
IRC offers a $3,500 internship scholarship and eligible interns would be encouraged to apply. Please note that this is a competitive scholarship, so receiving an award is not guaranteed.
