Through this collaborative approach, they deliver comprehensive support and advocacy for young people grappling with complex challenges.

About the Role:

As the Grants and Tender Coordinator, you will report to the General Manager of Fundraising and Marketing.

In this role, you will be entrusted with overseeing the lifecycle of the grants and tenders funding strategy. This includes identifying opportunities, researching, writing, editing, working with key internal and external stakeholders, completing acquittals, and coordinating regular communication to funding partners.

This position requires a highly organised individual with proficient writing and editing skills who is dedicated to contributing to transformative initiatives in youth mental health and suicide prevention. You will need to be able to operate independently and exhibit robust project management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the Government, Trust, and Foundations funding pipeline in collaboration with the CEO and General Managers to support the Youth Insearch funding strategy.
  • Research, develop, and maintain a calendar of Government, Trust, and Foundations grant opportunities, including PAF approaches.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and articulate funding priorities, maintaining a network of subject matter experts.
  • Write high-quality and compelling grant and tender applications in collaboration with subject matter experts.
  • Coordinate stewardship activities as agreed with the management team.
  • Manage the grants program lifecycle, including assessment of applications, initiating grant agreements, coordinating grantee reporting and acquittal requirements.
  • Develop and implement reporting and monitoring systems to effectively manage the grants program.
  • Meet set KPIs and annual targets to grow a sustainable income stream.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant degree.
  • Demonstrated experience in grant writing, program monitoring & evaluation or research.
  • Excellent professional writing skills to develop funding proposals.
  • Ability to build & maintain strong relationships.
  • A confident multi-tasker with project coordination experience.
  • Displays diplomacy, discretion, and effective listening.
  • Strong administrative skills, editing skills & attention to detail, confidence in using CRMs.
  • Displays enthusiasm, creativity & innovation.
  • Knowledge and/or passion of the social service and mental health industry is desirable.
  • Operational knowledge of databases and CRM – Salesforce preferred.

Essential Requirements:

  • Approved Working with Children’s Check (in the relevant state).
  • Clear National Police Check.
