Tetra Tech International Development (International Development Jobs – Tetra Tech) is currently accepting applications from qualified candidates for a Grants Manager.

Position Description: The Grants Manager is part of the Contracts, Grants and Procurement (CGP) team; a fun, collaborative and committed group of professionals that bring rigor and discipline to managing USAID programs through standardized systems and tools that facilitate the achievement of technical objectives. This is an exciting position that works across all of Tetra Tech’s technical sectors and international geographies, providing endless opportunities to grow professionally in the field of international development. The Grants Manager reports to either the Senior Grants Manager or designee and works closely with home and field office project management teams and project support services to backstop a portfolio of projects with a GUC component. The position can be fully remote from a continental US-based location or hybrid within a commutable distance to either one of our office locations in Burlington, VT or Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities:

* Support proposal and project implementation teams by providing resources, tools, and strategies related to grant management and compliance with US government regulations and Tetra Tech policies.

* Collaborate with the CGP team on updating and designing trainings, systems, and procedures for effective and compliant grant implementation.

* In coordination with project management teams, develop project specific Grant Manuals for USAID approval during the start-up phase of contracts with GUC and provide comprehensive training to project teams on the Grant Manual and Tetra Tech policies.

* Review and approve grant documents submitted by project teams in accordance with delegated approval thresholds.

* Provide on-going support to field-based project staff responsible for grants, particularly in the area of compliance and grantee audits.

* Perform ongoing compliance monitoring for all grants programs and support PM and DPMs as necessary in monitoring the obligation and spending of grants.

* Maintain updated database of current and closed grant programs.

* Undertake short-term assignments to establish and launch project grant programs, conduct assessments, troubleshoot issues, and provide compliance and closeout support, as necessary.

* Provide additional support and expertise related to grants management, as deemed appropriate and necessary.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

* Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.

* Minimum of 5 years of experience managing grants or other relevant project management experience on donor-funded programs, with a preference for USAID-funded programs but will also consider other international donor-funded programs.

* In depth knowledge of USG rules and regulations related to grant management (ADS, CFR).

* Ability to travel internationally up to 35% of time.

* Fluency in a second language highly desirable with preference for Spanish, French or Ukrainian.

* Proven capacity building and training skills.

* Proven track record facilitating solutions to complex problems.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to service internal and external clients.

* Excellent information management skills, with very strong attention to detail.

* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

* Budgeting, financial, and auditing experience desirable.

* Must be comfortable working in a fast paced and sometimes intense work environment.

* High level proficiency of MS-Office applications and databases.

* Strong sense of team, a positive attitude, and excellent problem-solving skills.

* Current U.S. work authorization is required at the time of application.
