The program of Enteric Infections and Vaccines under the Infectious Diseases Division conducts research with infectious diseases and vaccine sciences. To achieve the goal of this program icddr,b is working with different sponsors /donors for detection, prevention and  control of respiratory and enteric infections in collaboration with the relevant government and non-government stakeholders.

The Grants Officer reporting to Sr. Manager, Grants and Compliance will implement financial activities related to grant management, co-ordinate with relevant stake holders, fulfill donor’s requirement and also facilitation auditors with the objective of ensuring compliance and efficient management of Grants and Contracts within the policies and guidelines of Finance; and organizational values and guidelines.

Duties and responsibilities: 

  • Ensure compliance to the requirements of grant agreement;
  • Disseminate donors’ rules and regulations e.g. restriction, reporting issues, audit requirement etc. to the PIs, FPIs, Finance officer and other stakeholders to meet donor’s requirements;
  • grants’ financial reports & invoices to the donor and stakeholders in a timely manner;
  • Assist in preparing different reports required by the donors or management;
  • Monitor and document grant expenditures and grant funded activities to ensure compliance with the Government agencies regulations and specific terms and conditions of multiple sponsors grant awards;
  • Track status of payments to ensure timely collection from donors;
  • Work with ERP system to manage routine functionalities of grants management and maintain appropriate control;
  • Facilitate auditors to conduct internal & external audits;
  • Prepare draft responses to the auditors and donors queries.

Required qualifications and experience:

  • Graduate in Business Administration/Finance/Management/Accounting with good academic record;
  • 3 years of experience in Grants Management with reputed organization.
