Context

Digital engagement is increasingly playing a crucial role in UNDP’s response to global shifts in the fields of communication, resource mobilization, advocacy, and development. Effective use of the various digital channels helps communicate UNDP’s key messages through relevant content, interactive experiences, and dialogue. This allows individuals to connect with our work directly, thus creating valuable relationships with online and offline users. By creating shareable and compelling visual content, UNDP Egypt aims to strengthen engagement through its digital platforms to help position UNDP as a thought leader, expand outreach and broaden engagement.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for 1 Online Volunteer who under the guidance of UNDP Egypt Communication Analyst and in close collaboration with the communications team to support us by producing social media graphic designs for UNDP Egypt”s different portfolio”s & programmes (Inclusive Growth & Innovation, Environment & Social Inclusion and Local Development in addition to content relevant to the COs new Country Programme Document. In particular, the Online Volunteer is asked to:
•⁠ ⁠Collect information on document/material background such as target audience, design style, branding guidelines etc.;
•⁠ ⁠Support in the preparation and generation of social media content for UNDP Egypt social media platforms.
•⁠ ⁠Create draft design based on requirements and discuss with focal point/ communications team; – Develop the design according to agreed requirements.
•⁠ ⁠Develop 45 visuals prepared in different formats to be fit for Twitter, FB, LinkedIn, Instagram Post and Instagram Story. -Develop infographic sheets and leaflets showcasing the COs new country programme document and focus areas.
The design/layout should follow our corporate design guidelines which will be shared with the Online Volunteers in advance. The Online Volunteer/s will have the opportunity to build connections with the communication team at UNDP Egypt and learn about the ways in which graphic design can support capturing and documenting the work of the CO & ensuring the strategic visibility of UNDP Egypt while driving reach and fan engagement.

Required Skills and Experience

Candidates should have professional experience in graphic design with previous experience in designing document layouts, and must have in-depth knowledge of graphic design applications, as well as good verbal and written communication skills.

A degree in graphic design or related field is considered an asset.
