Mission and objectives
Istanbul International Center for Private Sector in Development (IICPSD) supports the private sector and foundations to become transformative partners in development through research, advocacy for inclusive business, facilitation of public-private dialogue and brokering partnerships. IICPSD, established in 2011 in partnership with the Government of Turkey, is one of UNDP’s six Global Policy Centres. It leads UNDP’s global work on private sector and foundations and supports UNDP’s offices all over the world. The Center focuses on four thematic areas:

1. Inclusive Business;

2. Private Sector Engagement in Skills Development;

3. Impact investing;

4. Resilience and Crisis Response.

The Center also hosts four global initiatives: Business Call to Action, SDG Philanthropy Platform, Global Islamic Finance and Impact Investing Platform and Connecting Business Initiative.

Context
The Frontier Tech Leaders Programme aims to raise a new generation of tech specialists to strengthen local capacities and develop digital solutions for the LDCs (Least Developed Countries) towards achieving the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). Furthermore, the initiative will inspire young people as well as promote gender equality, encouraging women to pursue tech education and careers. Established and implemented by UNDP ICPSD and UN Technology Bank, the first implementation of the Programme is ongoing for the LDC students who are studying at the Turkish universities. Over the following weeks, the Programme will be implemented in several LDCs and developing countries, including but not limited to Djibouti, Bangladesh etc.
The expected starting date for the position is November 22nd, 2023.

Task description
The graphic design volunteer is expected to
– Propose a minimum of 3 different branding guidelines for the Frontier Tech Leaders Programme with the logo, color palette, typography, visual elements and usage guidelines included for each. (More information about the Programme will be provided during the briefing)
– Develop creative and engaging marketing materials for the Programme included but not limited to one-pagers, infographics, illustrations, layouts and presentations in line with the selected branding guideline,
– Develop creative and engaging design elements for Programme publications, reports and presentations in line with the selected branding guideline,
– Provide three rounds of revisions for each designed material,
– Ensure the design options are consistent with UNDP & UN Technology Bank for LDCs corporate branding guidelines.

Required experience
– Min 3 year experience
– Min 5 contracts/projects for provision of design services
