The role

Reporting to the Senior Manager Western Melbourne, your responsibilities will include being responsible for the delivery of the Men’s Behaviour Change Programs (MBCP) in Vietnamese and assessment of specific family violence group programs who have used violent and controlling behaviours towards family members. This role is part of the state government’s integrated framework of response to family violence, and compliance with the ‘No To Violence’ (NTV) minimum standards of quality practice.

This is a great casual opportunity for skilled individuals seeking work based in Melbourne’s West. The successful candidate can expect to work Thursday evenings.

About you

  • Degree qualified in social work, psychology or a related social science discipline.
  • Fluent in Vietnamese and familiarity with the Vietnamese culture and community.
  • A demonstrated understanding of the men’s behaviour change (MBC) process and the gendered nature of family violence and commitment to advocating for non-violence, and to living non-violently.
  • Commitment to enhancing the safety of women and children who have experienced male family violence.
