About our role
As part of our organisation’s growth journey we have a newly created opportunity for a Senior Leader to own and lead our Data and AI efforts.
You will lead a team that has enterprise accountability of the organisation’s data and analytics assets. This team will be focused on driving value for business stakeholders as well as spearheading Artificial Intelligence initiatives to drive business growth
Your key responsibilities include:
- Establishing and overseeing our Data Governance and Enablement Strategy
- Creation and implementation of the organisation’s data policy and data governance stewardship
- Creating and maintaining our Directional AI Strategy
- Development and execution of a comprehensive strategy that integrates advanced analytics, machine learning (ML), and artificial intelligence (AI) into the organisation’s broader objectives.
- Leading the planning and execution of the organisation’s data modernisation strategy
- Leading a team of people managers, building capability and skilling across our Data & AI function
About you
As a Senior Leader you are focused on driving the organisation’s Data and AI efforts.
You will play a key part in establishing, leading, and operating the D&AI function, developing talent and mature D&AI culture, building trust and managing data, and evolving our technology capabilities.
As a leader of managers you will have demonstrated success in navigating complexities and delivering impactful outcomes.
Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years in a senior leadership role.
- 5+ years’ experience in Data, Insights and analytics related roles.
- Proven experience in establishing and leading robust data governance frameworks, including stewardship, quality control, and compliance.
- Business and financial acumen understanding business concepts, practices, and business domain language to engage in problem-solving sessions and discuss business issues in stakeholder language.
- Business process transformation: the ability to understand how D&A can help redesign the way work is done and track how impactful the changes are.
- Business data: the structure, ownership and use within an organisation.
- Familiarity with data laws and ethical considerations in data usage. Experience in setting policies to ensure compliance with such regulations.
- Demonstrated experience in defining and executing AI strategies that align with broader business objectives.
- Experience in leading diverse teams with a focus on skill development and capability building in the areas of data governance and AI.
- Up-to-date knowledge of modern data technologies and platforms, with experience in data modernisation efforts to make data infrastructure more agile and scalable.
- Effective communication skills for managing expectations and requirements across different stakeholders, including executives and technical teams.
- Budgeting and ROI analysis skills, particularly related to data and AI investment.
- Leadership: Experience leading a team of managers, and leading diverse teams.
- Strategic thinking and problem solving.
- Coaching and training skills.
- Negotiation and influencing skills.
