The Role – Growth Manager, Grants & Philanthropy
This senior role, Growth Manager, Grants & Philanthropy will suit a motivated, experienced fundraiser. Your responsibilities will be to identify and secure philanthropic Major Donor and Trust & Foundations funding for TFP’s broad range of appealing programs and initiatives.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, and working as part of the Leadership Team, you will research potential funding opportunities, build relationships with prospective donors and funding bodies, and produce compelling high-quality proposals and grant applications to advance the aims and mission of The Fathering Project. You will work closely with the CEO to expand Government funding opportunities on a local, state, and national level.
Responsibilities:
- Research, identify, develop, and nurture relationships across trusts and foundations, corporate foundations and HNWI donors
- Work with the CEO to expand Government grant opportunities at the local, state and national level
- Build strong internal relationships to develop a deep understanding of the TFP’s work, programs, priorities, innovations, history, mission, and impact
- Write compelling proposals and grants that effectively communicate TFP’s goals, objectives, and impact to potential donors and funders
- Manage an effective tracking process for gathering relevant information and data ensuring timely grant applications and acquittals
- Maintain accurate CRM records reflecting communication activity and crucial information
- Stay current on philanthropic trends, opportunities and requirements
Your Skills & Attributes
- Demonstrated success in a similar philanthropy, major gifts, T&F or grant writing role (other professional fundraising experience considered)
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Confidence to engage in strategic planning and process improvement
- Strong entrepreneurial attitude and creative approach to growing the philanthropy program
- Strong attention to detail, exemplarily written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to prioritise competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Experience working independently and collaboratively within a small tight-knit team
- A Champion for best practice use of a donor CRM (Salesforce /Raisely highly regarded)
