Role of the Guard: The Guard ensures the safe and secure environment at the Sulaimani SEED Center, and welcomes beneficiaries to the Center. Protecting and maintaining the security and safety of the property and staff  at the SEED Center.

 

 

 

Specific Tasks:

  • Maintain security watch throughout the assigned shift.
  • Conduct regular rounds in keeping with security directives.
  • Monitor and control access at building entrances.
  • Immediately report any security issues/concerns to the supervisor and notify asayish and police as appropriate.
  • Maintain security logs, in keeping with SEED’s policies and procedures.
  • Note and report problems, including suspicious activities, behaviours, and maintenance concerns.                  
  • Respect confidentiality of all. 
  • Participate in all training instructed by the supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as necessary, as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

  • Completion of high school is required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a security guard.
  • Surveillance detection skills. 
  • Previous training in safety and security plus first aid. 
  • Stable, moral and robust character and a good team-player. 
  • Excellent communication skills, calm with a good sense of humor. 
  • Proven commitment to accountability practices. 
  • Fluent in both Kurdish and Arabic. A basic level of English is required. 
  • Ability to work under pressure. 
  • Good knowledge of operating and maintaining a range of safety and security  equipment, including the use of VHF radios, CCTV system, fire alarms etc. 
  • Excellent knowledge of safety and security procedures and protocols.
  • The candidate must be in a good physical condition.
