An ideal candidate will be familiar with standard aquaculture practices including but not limited to as it relates to vannamei: daily animal husbandry, feed preparation, water chemistry, general laboratory techniques, culturing of live feed and microalgae, animal handling, collection and harvesting animals, data keeping, weekly sampling, and packing animals.
Minimum Qualifications: Graduated from an accredited college or university with an Associate degree in Biology, Chemistry, Animal Science, Natural Science, or closely related field. Experience with vannamei can be substituted for a degree.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in biological or physical science and two-year husbandry experience with aquatic species
Working Conditions: Flexible including evenings, weekends and holidays
Additional Requirements: Valid US driver’s license and legal to work in the U.S. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
