  • Proven ability to lead and inspire teams to deliver strategic goals and growth ambitions
  • Experience creating and delivering business cases and presentations for investment ambitions
  • Ability to communicate and work with senior leadership across Intertek
  • Experience of working within a laboratory environment
  • Proven ability to project manages and deliver large scale projects on time and within budget
  • Excellent communication skills – ability to influence and negotiate with multiple stakeholders to a desired outcome
  • Proven experience dealing directly with customers and proven experience in working on bids and tenders an advantage

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITYAs the Hazardous Locations Testing & Training Manager, you will be strategic planner and execution of our ambitions to provide world-class product testing and assurance, focusing on the exploration and production industry, food, pharma, feed, and manufacturing sectors.Key activities:

  • Motivate and support the team in delivering strategic plans through inspirational leadership
  • Develop and execute a strategy for departmental growth with a lens on Capex and Resource Investment
  • Manage all laboratory updates and expansion plans following successful business case submissions
  • Collaborate with other laboratory managers/stakeholders to raise awareness of our product assurance portfolio
  • Hold regular meetings with global colleagues to drive projects into our business
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and deliver targeted market plans, supporting strategic growth
  • Facilitate content creation using the team’s expertise for thought leadership activities
  • Attend customer calls and meetings with team experts to promote our services and drive the sales pipeline
  • Manage the profit and loss for your department, forecasting and managing costs in line with budgets and revenue intake
