Head – Diabetes Prevention

Reporting to the CEO, this role involves:

• Leading a team of professionals to advance our prevention work across programs, preventive care and healthy environments.
• Developing and implementing strategic plans for maximum community participation
• Monitoring program effectiveness to increase priority population reach and make necessary adjustments to achieve established targets
• Building relationships with key stakeholders, including government
• Capitalising on our trusted brand name to forge new strategies, partnerships and opportunities for prevention.

To be successful you will be able to demonstrate:

• Proven experience at an executive level in a health setting for chronic health conditions prevention or management
• Excellent strategic thinking skills and proven ability to innovate
• Strong thought leadership and relationship skills with government and other partners – ideally in a health context
• Strong people leadership skills to effectively manage a professional team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to develop and implement strategic plans to achieve priority objectives
• Experience in managing initiatives to meet contractual obligations and reporting timelines

Qualifications:

• Master’s or Post Grad. degree in Health Promotion, Public Health, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in senior roles within the health sector
• Proven track record of successfully managing government funded programs or initiatives
