We combine our digital, engineering, data analytics and consultancy expertise from our global teams to deliver sustainable and predictive asset management solutions for asset intensive organisations, enabling operational, tactical and strategic asset management decision making in a continually changing environment.Based in the UK, we have an exciting opportunity for a senior Asset Management leader to join our team and help achieve this vision. You will help develop and deliver our UK civil and structural asset management strategy, lead a range of civil and structural asset management consultancy projects and help develop value propositions across our Mobility (Highways, Aviation and Rail) business. You will also provide support to the wider asset management consulting and advisory business through our global business areas, Mobility, Resilience and Places.You will be a key member of the team that resides within the Mobility part of Arcadis, reporting to the Structures, Geotech and GIS Business Director, with a dotted line to the Head of Infrastructure Asset Management, and play a vital role in growing the business and creating opportunity.The Infrastructure Asset Management team is newly established, pulling together our already strong capability in asset management into a unified offering. There will be opportunities for growth and career development for individuals with a growth mind set.Role Accountabilities

  • Supporting implementation of our UK Mobility asset management strategy and development of annual asset management plans by account in the civil and structural infrastructure market
  • Leading asset management client engagement, development of value propositions and tenders in the civil and structural market, and supporting the wider business in pursuit to win of strategic opportunities (e.g. requiring blended design and engineering, project and programme management, cost and commercial and asset management services).
  • Sustainable growth in revenue and headcount of the civil and structural asset management discipline in line with business plan targets
  • Line management and career development of direct reports in line with the asset management strategy.
  • Working with our account leads and wider asset management community to ensure a co-ordinated approach with our infrastructure clients on all matters related to our civil and structural asset management services and mobility asset management strategy
  • Applying your asset management process skills, knowledge and insight to oversee the delivery of asset management projects on time, meeting both quality and budgetary targets, whilst striving to exceed client expectations.
  • Development of our Global capability, in particular in relation to application of international asset management standards (e.g. ISO55000 suite) and risk / performance based maintenance advisory.
  • Client relationship and stakeholder management internally and externally, aiming to generate positive outcomes for all
  • Thought leadership and external presentations at industry events
  • Leading and driving innovation in civil and structural asset management
  • Project Director on strategic asset management projects with achieving an average 60% billability target annually

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Senior leadership experience in asset management in a consultancy or client environment, developing and implementing asset management strategy and plans
  • You will need a combination of asset management process skills, transportation infrastructure end market experience and /or asset management transformation programmes
  • Experience of civil and structural asset management projects helping resolve strategic, tactical and / or operational challenges. Examples include development of Asset Management strategies, Plans, Asset risk assessments, RAMS, O&M planning, development of decision support tools and asset data quality assessments.
  • Tender management and bid experience
  • Good understanding of risk management (e.g FMECA, Bow Tie, Fishbone), ISO55000, asset management and / or Six Sigma processes and tools
  • Expert Witness experience is desirable
  • Chartered or Fellowship status
  • Recognised Institute of Asset Management certifications (or working towards certification)
