Overview
About the Role
The Head of External and Campaign Communications is responsible for the strategic leadership of Queen Mary’s external communications and brand reputation campaign activities. This includes: ownership of Queen Mary’s brand awareness campaign and the Communications team’s contribution to Queen Mary’s student recruitment campaigns; leading key aspects of reputation management and crisis communications; and leading the Faculty Communications Managers, and the Media Relations and Social Media teams.
This role is part of the Communications leadership team. The impact of the role is measured by progress against one of our 13 University level KPIs.

The post is based at our Mile End and Dept W campuses in London. It is a full time, permanent appointment, with an immediate start date. This is a Grade 7 role, the starting salary for which is in the range of £61,896 – £69,114 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
