The Organisation
Youth Off The Streets (YOTS) works with children and young people, their families and communities to create safety, offer support and provide opportunities to build a positive future. Since being established more than 30 years ago YOTS has grown significantly, attracting ongoing government and public support.
YOTS employs 200 staff, supported by hundreds of volunteers, with an annual turnover of $30m including 70 cost centres. YOTS delivers a broad range of services including crisis accommodation, housing, independent high schools, alcohol and other drugs counselling, justice and cultural support, life-skills, employment programs, and community engagement.

The Role
Reporting to the CEO, this position will lead the management and coordination of all finance functions, property and assets. Your focus is to ensure financial sustainability and meet strategic outcomes.
Key accountabilities include:
- Manage 2 direct reports within finance and property, including indirectly a team of 10
- Effective management of finance and assets, including property and fleet
- Oversee grants and tender funding, producing reports and financial statements
- Accountable for financial audits and compliance, including ACNC
- Provide financial analysis and forecasting in relation to budget performance
- Focus on growing income and securing strategic funding
Skills Required
You are a successful Senior Finance Manager with well-developed leadership skills and the ability to inspire diverse teams. You will also have the desire to work for an organisation that makes a big difference in the lives of at-risk young people. You can demonstrate:
- Strong strategic and operational capabilities
- Experience in the full range of both financial and management accounting activities
- An innovative approach to financial management, software systems and procedures
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and public speaking skills
- Understanding of investment strategy and asset management
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting, and CPA / ICAA membership preferred
