Your new role

The Head of Fundraising role works full time (38 hours per week) within a professional Fundraising team. You will be directly responsible for managing a fundraising team (6.6 FTE), and supporting the strategic direction, donor stewardship and financial management of their respective portfolios, i.e., major donors, appeals and regular giving, bequests, corporate and community, and trusts and foundations.

The Fundraising team at Sacred Heart Mission are a successful, close-knit group of professionals. They are well known internally for their deep connections in the community, their relentless passion to achieve and the positive culture they have developed.

Your day-to-day

  • Lead and support a multi-disciplined fundraising team to deliver on their stewardship plans and budgeted targets.
  • Create, implement, and manage the fundraising strategy to ensure Sacred Heart Mission’s five-year financial model, growth and sustainability targets are met.
  • Manage the organisational interface with all donors and supporters.
  • Establish personal connections and build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders in accordance with the organisation’s values.
  • Develop and implement a fundraising culture across the organisation.
  • Uphold our exceptional brand reputation.

We’re looking for someone

  • With strong experience in professional fundraising and demonstrated ability in a similar role.
  • Who has a successful track record in developing fundraising strategies and project planning, delivery and evaluation.
  • Who possesses excellent leadership skills with a proven ability to manage, coach, train, and develop staff.
  • Who thrives on building strong personal and professional relationships.
  • With exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
