We are searching for a dynamic and motivated Head of IT to develop and oversee an IT roadmap that supports business needs, challenges, and growth ambitions. The successful candidate will lead our IT teams to execute this roadmap efficiently while ensuring seamless ongoing operations. The Head of IT will report directly to the CFO and will be responsible for the Infrastructure, Network and service desk teams. He/she will work in close collaboration with the Head of Corporate Digital Transformation and the Information Security Officer – ISO. This tripod ensures the end-to-end IT and application landscape of the company.

Job Description

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a forward-looking IT roadmap that supports EVS strategic goals. This involves understanding EVS’ corporate and business needs, ambitions and challenges and identifying technological solutions to efficiently address them;
  • Team management: Manage and coach the IT team members including infrastructure specialists, network engineers, and service desk members to ensure effective operations, excellent services and foster a collaborative environment within the team and with other departments. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment. Create and support a learning & knowledge sharing philosophy within the teams;
  • Communication and stakeholder management: Develop & maintain internal and external networking to maximize collaboration and increase impact. Act as a liaison between the IT department and other departments. This involves communicating IT initiatives, progress, and challenges in a clear and effective manner;
  • Budget management: Define and oversee the IT budget ensuring cost-effectiveness. Prepare cost-benefit analyses for IT spending and investment;
  • IT Asset management: Ensure that the team members maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software, and associated peripherals. Manage the entire lifecycle of IT assets with an ESG and cost-conscious mindset, from acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and upgrades to disposal or recycling;
  • Infrastructure management: Ensure reliable IT infrastructure and network operations across the organization. Address any issues related to systems performance, scalability, and technology integration. IT infrastructure is to be seen in the broad sense merging on premise with cloud technologies;
  • Support and Service Management: Oversee the service desk to ensure high-quality technical support and customer service. Analyze service desk operations to drive improvements and user satisfaction;
  • Project Management: define, prioritize, and ensure the successful execution of IT projects;
  • Compliance & Security: Define, communicate, and monitor the compliance of IT operational policies and procedures. Execute and monitor the security protocols defined by the ISO to protect company data and infrastructure from cyber threats;
  • Business continuity: define, test, and maintain a disaster recovery plan – DRP – to ensure fast recovery of critical infrastructures and systems in the context of a cyberattack;
  • Business process management: Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation within the IT department. This includes implementing best practices, adopting new technologies, and optimizing existing systems to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Technical Expertise:

  • Has knowledge and experience in the following domains to guide and challenge the team members:
    • Networking and Infrastructure:
      • network architecture, including LAN/WAN, internet and intranet systems, and connectivity protocols;
      • setup, configuration, and maintenance of servers, routers, switches, and firewalls.
    • Systems Administration:
      • operating systems such as Windows, Linux, or MacOS.
    • Cybersecurity:
      • knowledge of security protocols, risk management, and disaster recovery strategies;
      • implementing and managing security solutions like firewalls, anti-virus software, and intrusion detection systems.
    • Data Analysis:
      • ability to analyze and interpret data to make informed decisions using tools like Excel, SQL, or specialized data analytics software.
    • Cloud Computing:
      • knowledge of cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and providers such as Microsoft Azure and AWS working in hybrid mode;
      • experience in migrating processes and data to the cloud and managing cloud-based resources.
    • IT asset management:
      • experience with IT asset management tools that track and manage the lifecycle of hardware and software assets.
  • Is up to date with technological and market evolutions;
  • Interest in EVS business, products and solutions is an asset;
  • Experience with broadcast infrastructure is a plus point.

Languages:

  • Fluent in English;
  • Knowledge of French or any other languages is an asset.
