The Role
The Council recognises that it needs first class legal advice and support to achieve its ambitions. The creation of the role of Head of Legal Services and Deputy Monitoring Officer is the first of several exciting new roles that have been created to ensure the Council has that support.
As our new Head of Legal Services, you will lead the implementation of the new structure and ways of working for Legal Services. You will be accountable for the delivery of legal services, ensuring that the team provides sound, clear, advice and support councillors and officers to successfully deliver our priorities. As deputy monitoring officer, you will advise on constitutional matters, deal with code of conduct complaints and deputise for the Director of Legal and Governance when required.
