Job Title: Head of Logistics & Supply ChainLocation: Wiltshire/Berkshire/Hampshire border, 3 miles south of HungerfordSalary: £70 000Job Type: PermanentAgency: Blue ArrowJob Description:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Logistics & Supply Chain to lead and develop logistics, warehousing, and supply chain activities. This role is crucial for ensuring that our products meet and exceed customer expectations while maintaining profitable trading relationships across all channels.Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and develop day-to-day supply chain operations both internally and externally.
• Lead ERP system development and related business processes to ensure a 99% service level to customers.
• Oversee all purchasing activities to ensure continuity of supply for all raw materials.
• Manage and lead direct reports in supply chain, warehousing, logistics, and purchasing.
• Negotiate and manage business plans and contracts, including third-party warehousing, delivery vehicles, and waste management.
• Develop and implement reporting and analytics strategies.
• Collaborate with the Senior Management team to develop commercial opportunities and strategies.
• Maintain and train company departmental procedures and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with relevant UK laws.

Person Specification:Essential:

• Degree or equivalent professional qualifications.
• Extensive knowledge of SAP/ACCESS.
• 5+ years of logistics experience.
• Team management experience.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Good planning and organizational abilities.
• Ability to lead by example.

Desirable:

• Previous experience in the food industry.

• Highly organized with high standards.
• Realistic and can-do attitude towards problem-solving.

Work Pattern:

• Office hours: Monday to Friday, with flexibility as required for the role.
