ROLE SUMMARY
The Medical analytics Lead is a key member of the Medical Content, Channels, and Digital Health Platform (MCCDH) executive team and leads the Medical analytics team. They combines Medical Affairs and data/analytic expertise with an understanding of the strategic priorities of medical analytics in support of MCCDH platform activities, Categories, and Regions
To this end, the Medical analytics Lead will:
- Oversee Medical data governance to ensure appropriate data-use and analytical best practices and leverage synergies across analytics teams (e.g., RWE, CMO, Diigtal organization)
- Lead definition and delivery of advanced analytics use cases to guide Medical Affairs activities
- Ensure appropriate tracking and monitoring of Global Medical Affairs activity
- Coordinate with Medical Affairs stakeholders to define key analytical needs, promote data-informed activities and decisions
- The Medical analytics Lead reports to the MCCDH Platform lead and closely collaborates with all MCCDH team leads as well as Category and Regional Medical Leads
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Spearhead medical analytics strategy, governance and deliverables within MCCDH
- Set strategic vision and objectives of analytical models, in close collaboration with Medical Planning and Impact team
- Communicate and discuss analytical model objectives and results at executive and leadership forums to support strategic and executive decision-making
- Advocate for data-driven decision-making across Global Medical Affairs activities and lead efforts to ensure analytical outputs are incorporated into decisions and activities
- Promote close collaboration with RWE, other MA teams, CMO and the Digital Organization to leverage data and analytical synergies and efficiently coordinate interdependencies
Provide leadership and guidance to analytical teams
- Collaborate with MCCDH team leads, category and country leads to ensure analytical models developed provide actionable insights and are aligned with Platform strategic directions, asset strategy and team needs
- Ensure analytics leads have appropriate direction and sufficient details to define analytics models and lead analytical teams, including input from teams within and outside of Medical Affairs
- Ensure tools and models are properly maintained according to best practices
- Responsible for compliant and appropriate data use, including oversight of data management and overall medical data governance
- Ensure appropriate use case backlog prioritization to maximize impact within Medical Affairs
Ensure delivery of advanced analytics to guide Medical Affairs activities and set data-informed strategy
- Lead team to develop and implement all analytical tools and models developed by Medical Affairs to measure its holistic impact, inform on the prioritization of its activity, and support planning:
- Plan, generate, and perform asset-specific care gap analyses
- Create asset-specific HCP segments, maps, and prioritizations, across multiple dimensions including care gaps
- Track asset- and channel-specific content engagement metrics
- Develop data-driven insights to guide Medical Affairs activity and planning, including channel mix/activation definition, content creation, MSL activity in Anchor countries
Ensure appropriate tracking and monitoring of Global Medical Affairs activity
- Lead teams to develop and track metrics to evaluate impact of Medical Affairs activities with activity-specific KPIs, including reporting dashboards
- Communicate data-driven transparency around resource investment and activity prioritization
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
- Life sciences qualification, including PharmD, Medical Sciences with data & analytic experience; Or Data Science or related qualifications required
- Strong experience (15+ years) in pharmaceutical medicine, including medical affairs, medical compliance, and management experience required
- Demonstrated effectiveness working in cross-functional business environment.
- Proven leadership skills in managing people and projects both directly and via a matrixed or indirect leadership.
- Strong interpersonal skills to quickly build rapport and credibility with Pfizer leaders and key external stakeholders.
- Ability to partner cross culturally/regionally.
- Effective talent management.
- Effective English verbal and written communication with flexibility to be clear, consistent, compliant, and appropriate for a variety of settings including scientific/technical, promotional, patient/consumer, regulatory, and media.
- In depth understanding of the business of pharmaceutical medicine including clinical trial design, GCP and data interpretation, drug development, regulatory and promotional rules/guidance, legal and compliance, issue management and business development opportunity evaluations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA or other related degrees

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $262,100.00 to $424,100.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 30.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
