Many of us have discovered the joy, the necessity, of connecting with nature, on our own or
with our families. We’re recognising the deep societal and environmental value of our
countryside and that means the UK’s 15 inspiring National Parks are more important than ever
before. National Parks Partnerships (NPP) identifies, secures and manages commercial and
strategic UK level partnerships for the UK’s 15 National Parks. NPP is a small but
entrepreneurial entity that strives to grow the National Parks family’s impact, resources and
influence. In short, these key partnerships enable us all to #BeMoreOutside. Since 2021 NPP has
collaborated with the impact consultancy Palladium on the award-winning Revere initiative
(www.revere.eco). Revere is driving the engagement of the
National Park Authorities (NPAs) in private investment into nature activity with the vision to
restore landscapes at scale and to fight the climate and biodiversity crises.

NPP are now seeking a Head of Nature-based Solutions to drive a pipeline of major projects that
are suitable for at-scale private investment as well as other sources of funding, and to act as
an internal and external advocate for the role of Protected Landscapes in the emerging UK
natural capital market. This role is offered as a contract until 31st December 2025 with
possibility of extension beyond. The role focusses on close work with the National Park
Authorities to support increased NbS knowledge and the development of major projects that are
suitable for at-scale private investment through Revere, as well as other sources of funding.
The Head of NbS will be stepping into team with an established work plan, well-progressed
project portfolio and with three experienced NbS Project Managers and a Nature Finance Adviser
providing specialist technical support on board. The Head of NbS will also be part of the
management team for Revere, and as such will have the opportunity to play a major part in this
sector-leading, award-winning collaboration.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of one or more of the following
areas: natural capital; landscape project management; nature restoration at scale; private
finance for nature; nature-based solutions. You will demonstrate excellent team management
skills having effectively managed a team previously and led on multiple projects. You will be
motivated by growing the scale and pace of nature restoration and will understand the role of
private finance in the fight against climate change and biodiversity loss. In addition, you
will want to drive positive social and environmental change and be keen to make an impact
through being part of the National Parks team.
