- Status: Full time, The Push works a 9-day fortnight (our office is closed every second Friday)

- Award and Classification: Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, Level 6
- Contract Period: Fixed-term contract until 30 June 2026, with the opportunity for extension
- Location: The Push, Collingwood Yards (with flexible hybrid working arrangements)
- Salary: $102,546 – $107,074 + superannuation
- Commencement: April 2024
Position Overview
The Push is looking for an experienced Head of Partnerships and Engagement to lead our organisational growth strategy for partnerships nationally – increasing young people’s access to contemporary music and positioning The Push as a leader in youth music across Australia.
Reporting to the CEO, this leadership position will build and manage a team of staff to deliver our communications, brand, marketing and revenue generation through partnerships, products and service fees.

Position Responsibilities
As guided by The Push 2022-2025 Strategy, the Head of Partnerships and Engagement will:
- Develop and implement The Push’s commercial strategy, reflective of partnerships, products, co-working arrangements and service fees.
- As the key relationship manager, oversee a portfolio of partnerships to both nurture and steward existing relationships, as well as the cultivate new national growth opportunities, aligned with annual revenue targets.
- Lead the delivery and output of the Partnerships and Engagement team, responsible for the Push’s Communications and Engagement Strategy that informs our media and communications, brand and marketing to ensure the organisation builds and maintains a ‘forever young’ audience nationally.
- In collaboration with the CEO, inform The Push’s fundraising strategy to leverage corporate social responsibility through structured workplace giving campaigns, and embedding effective donor stewardship to encourage repeat donations, with particular focus on The Push’s alumni communities.
- Contribute towards donor engagement campaigns, events and activities, including board fundraising activities.
- In collaboration with the CEO and leadership team, contribute to organisational planning – setting annual targets, budgets and calendar of activities.
- With support from the wider team, ensure all partnerships are appropriately on-boarded and reported, with all funding obligations met, utilising The Push’s CRM, Salesforce to track leads, plans and campaigns, and analyse data.
- Lead a collaborative and high-performing team of staff, managing their supervision, performance management, professional development, leave and working arrangements.
- Attend out of hours meetings and events, as well as undertake interstate travel, as required.
- Other duties, as directed by the CEO.
Qualifications, Certificates and Licenses
The selected candidate will need to successfully complete or possess a current:
- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or practical experience in communications, marketing, or business management
- Working with Children Check
- Victoria Police Background Check
- Full Australian Driver’s License
Key Selection Criteria
- Experience in managing a portfolio of strategic partnerships from ideation to delivery, cultivating meaningful relationships that are guided by purpose and impact.
- Demonstrated experience in the successful development and implementation of organisational commercial and/or fundraising strategies.
- Success in achieving organisational growth targets across both revenue and brand awareness.
- Extensive understanding of marketing and communications practices and trends, with particular focus on young audiences.
- Experience in managing staff and leading teams, building a supportive work culture that is high-functioning, motivated and achieves organisational plans and targets.
