Job description

The Head of People will lead the HR strategy, aligning business objectives with employees and management in the designated business unit. They will maintain and enhance the organisation’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices.

  • Lead HR strategy within the retail and logistics departments.
  • Align business objectives with employees and management in these departments.
  • Maintain and enhance the organisation’s human resources policies, programs, and practices.
  • Oversee employee relations, including managing potential conflicts and implementing resolutions.
  • Coordinate with other department leaders to ensure a cohesive approach to HR across the company.
  • Conduct regular reviews of HR policies and implement changes as required.
  • Advocate for employee rights and needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and company regulations regarding employment.

  • Degree level education, preferably in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar senior HR role within the retail industry.
  • A solid understanding of UK employment law.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with a focus on supporting and developing staff.
  • The ability to formulate and implement HR strategies that support business objectives.
