Procurement Heads are actively working with a non-profit organisation based in Uxbridge, to support on the senior appointment of a Head of Procurement.We’re looking for an experienced procurement professional to support the day-to-day operations of the procurement department. As the Head of Procurement, you’ll be responsible for leading a medium sized team of procurement and technical officers.You will act as the central advisory expert utilizing detailed knowledge of Public Contract Regulations (2015) and Procurement Reform changes. This will include working with central and regional stakeholders, leading the ten-year procurement strategy. Your role will be vital for championing procurement across the organisation, working closely with the Chief Executive, COO, Technical Managers and the Director of Product Innovation.Your responsibilities as the Head of Procurement will include

  • Overseeing the day to day procurement programs
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Leading on procurement activities from business case development to tender evaluation and mobilization
  • Optimization of pricing frameworks for submission and post-tender analysis
  • Management of the the external Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) platform
  • Supervision of staff (Procurement and Technical Officers)

In addition, the role will place great importance for ensuring that the right regulatory awareness and training is provided, and that appropriate supplier assessments and due diligence is carried out.   • Experience of working within public sector procurement (PCR2015)
  • Experience of managing teams (performance management, mentorship and training skills are essential)
  • Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships (externally and internally)
  • Able to work in the office, 3x days per week (occasional regional travel may be required)
  • Knowledge of the local authority or housing sector would be advantageous but is not essential
  • MCIPS Qualified

Benefits include

  • Salary of £68,000 – £74,000
