DRS is actively seeking a Head of Program and Partnerships (HoPP) for a global remote position on behalf of our client, an international non-governmental organization (INGO). In this role, the HoPP will be responsible for overseeing coordination and coherence across program pillars, developing and ensuring the implementation of partnership strategy on a global scale, and enhancing the organization’s influencing approach across all programs.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Foster cooperation between organization affiliates, actively engage in fundraising initiatives, and negotiate funding opportunities for programs.
- Coordinate program design and oversight, ensuring adherence and compliance with organization policies and standards.
- Work closely with the Director to conduct regular risk analysis, apply safe programming.
- Proactively build relationships with external stakeholders and allies globally.
- Lead the advancement of partnership strategy and implementation globally, collaborating with thematic leads, program managers, the influencing team, and others.
- Establish strategic relationships, strengthen coalitions and networks globally, based on organization partnership principles and best practices.
- Promote linkages and shared learning between counterparts and key stakeholders for effective planning and program delivery.
- Ensure quality design, implementation, management, and monitoring of organization programs globally.
- Oversee program quality, including M&E frameworks, data collection, reporting, donor engagement, and learning.
- Work closely with program leads and the finance and operations team to monitor program budgets and expenditures.
- Facilitate exchange and learning across global teams, programs, and countries.
- Promote the organization culture by facilitating participation across various programs and support functions.
- Represent the organization.
- Manage, mentor, and monitor the global Program & Partnership team, including HR issues, team building, and performance reviews.
- Facilitate recruitment and selection processes for global program staff.
Technical Skills, Experience & Knowledge:
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience in development, social science, or relevant fields.
- At least 10 years of progressively responsible professional experience in program design, implementation, management, and M&E.
- Solid knowledge of global contexts and expertise in thematic areas of the organization.
- Proven experience in representing an organization at a senior level to various stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and management skills in complex organizational structures and multi-country programming.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Competencies in analytical, risk management, reporting, and planning skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, particularly in cross-cultural contexts.
- Proven working experience and knowledge of global development issues.
