As the Head of the Project Management Office (PMO) you will have a key strategic role establishing the PMO Governance Model and Framework within Yooralla. Reporting to the Executive Director, Technology and Property your mission will be to lead, inspire and cultivate a new PMO within the organisation.
The role and responsibility of the PMO will be to guide and execute strategic and operational initiatives across the organisation under the leadership of the PMO Manager.

Key Responsibilities

- Working to ensure high-quality and safe supports and services for NDIS participants,
meeting and exceeding the NDIS Practice Standards and
Quality Indicators. - Meeting obligations under all relevant Victorian and Commonwealth legislation.
- Working in accordance with the Yooralla Code of Conduct and Employee Manual.
Specific Role Responsibilities
- Establish the PMO Governance Model and Framework.
- Develop and Align the PMO Strategy with the organisation’s overall strategic plan.
- Lead the PMO and play a key role in building project management capability across the organisation.
- Define and implement the project prioritisation process to inform and guide decision making for support budgeting processes.
- Oversee the management of the project portfolio, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and priorities.
- Support and guide Project Sponsors in aspects of project governance.
- Work with project managers to identify, assess and mitigate project risks.
- General regular reports for executive management, highlighting project status, risks and key milestones.
- Understanding and experience in the vendor management lifecycle.
- Contribute to the development and execution of project management policies, procedures and methodologies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO, seeking opportunities to enhance project management processes and methodologies.
- Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and improve future project delivery.
- Identify and address resource constraints and bottlenecks proactively.
- Work with cross organisational teams to ensure project outcomes receive acceptance from required stakeholder groups.
- Foster a culture of coloration, accountability and continuous improvement with the project management team.
Mandatory Requirements
- Current National Police Record Check
- International Police Check (if required)
- Current driver’s licence to drive in Australia or current proof of identification.
Qualification Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in a Technology discipline or significant relevant industry experience
- Relevant industry certifications in two of the following disciplines: Microsoft Server, Office 365, Microsoft Azure, HPE Aruba, Clearpass, ITIL, Citrix, Agile project management
Professional Experience
- 8 + years’ experience managing and supporting a mid-sized PMO environment.
- Proven experience in PMO and project management and leadership roles.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and solution identification skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills.
- Excellent customer focus background with commercial awareness and strategic thinking capability.
