About headspace
headspace provides early intervention mental health services to 12–25-year-old. headspace can help young people with mental health, physical health (including sexual health) alcohol and other drug services, and work and study support.
About the Position
As the Centre Manger you will provide effective and high-quality leadership of headspace Primary and IPS teams across our Darwin and Palmerston sites. You will ensure the service delivers quality early intervention youth mental health services to young people aged 12-25 within the headspace model of evidence based best practice.
You will provide support to Clinical Leads and senior staff to ensure effective model delivery, clinical governance, and adherence to reporting requirements. You will actively seek to engage, collaborate, and strengthen key partnerships with service providers in the region that supports the four key pillars of the headspace primary services model.
To be successful, you will
- Be an effective leader with experience (minimum 5 years) providing leadership to multidisciplinary teams within a clinical mental health setting.
- Hold an approved tertiary qualification (Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy or Registered Nurse)
- A passion for youth mental health and keen interest in service improvement, access, and cultural safety of mental health services
- Prior experience or, at a minimum, demonstrated commitment to working respectfully with Indigenous and culturally and linguistically diverse clients, communities, staff, and Aboriginal controlled organisations.
Please note: This is a 14 month maternity leave cover position commencing ASAP.

Please note: It is a requirement that prior to commencing in this role, you must possess a Working with Children (Ochre Card), a National Criminal History Check (within 3 months) and a current NT manual driver’s license.
Experience of working closely with and having a strong understanding of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander culture would be considered an advantage.
