We also deliver the best service, use the best technology and recruit and retain the best people in the industry.Job DescriptionOur General Manager – Network Health and Safety is currently recruiting for an outstanding Health and Safety Advisor to join their highly experienced and growing team. Your primary purpose will be to work with network and hub management to ensure legal compliance with health and safety legislation. Providing H&S advice and expertise to all business areas and teams. Supporting H&S Team in delivering critical H&S projects and programmes.Your key responsibilities will include:

• Working with the business to promote and regulate a high standard of health & safety awareness in order to fully achieve compliance with legislation.
• Working with the business to promote a positive health and safety culture within DPD and support the strategic direction of the company.
• Supporting and advising sites in achieving compliance to health and safety legislation and effective reporting.
• Supporting sites with incident investigation and carrying out investigations of major incidents.
• Undertake frequent monitoring checks and inspections of sites as required.
• Work collaboratively to deliver progress towards Health and Safety Projects.
• Drive positive cultural change through employee consultation, engagement programs and delivery of health and safety information.
• Attendance at site and departmental Meetings as required.

QualificationsTo be considered for this role ideally you will be NCRQ Qualified or hold the NEBOSH Diploma in Applied Health and Safety or at least working towards such qualifications. You should as a minimum have an understanding of the application of the Health and Safety at work act 1974 and its supporting legislation.Due to the nature of our business and the operational hours of our new site you must be able to work flexible working hours to ensure the sites H&S needs are met.

• You will have a proven track record in producing high quality Health and Safety Documentation including Risk Assessment and SSoW.
• You will possess excellent communication and be able to communicate to a high standard in numerous formats.
• You will be comfortable working on your own initiative with the ability to prioritise and effectively manage your time.
• Due to the size of our operation the ability to work collaboratively and supportively within the team is critical.
• You will have strong IT skills with experience of using Microsoft packages or Google Suite. .

• Ability to work flexibly
