Job description

HS&E Advisor required. Our client is a well-established manufacturer based near to the Newmarket, Suffolk area. The successful candidate will be playing a pivotal role within an experienced team dedicated to the health and safety and environmental issues on site. It is anticipated the successful candidate will spend their time split between the workshop and the office to review activities and controls risks whilst ensuring the operations meet the safety standards of the organisation.HS&E Advisor Position Overview

• Assisting the HSE Manager to ensure the company remains up to date with legislative requirements and procedures.
• Carrying out and recording of workplace risk assessments
• Assisting with producing and delivering training courses on health and safety and environmental matters
• Presenting observations of incidents and concerns relating to HSE and providing corrective action.
• Assisting the preparation for external audits in line with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Carry out site inspections and recording HSE concerns
• Completing health and safety audits in line with ISO45001
• Occasional travel to other company facilities may be required
• Arranging external training on the HSE matters for employees where necessary
• Completing health and safety induction courses for new members of staff

HS&E Advisor Position Requirements

• NEBOSH / IOSH certified
• Auditing experience in line with ISO45001 / ISO14001 is desirable
• Based in a commutable distance of Newmarket, Suffolk area
• Experienced in managing systems to ISO 45001
• Previous experience in the manufacturing / engineering industry is desirable
• IT literate
• A minimum of 5 years of experience within a role incorporating Health and Safety
• Strong attention to detail

HS&E Advisor Position Remuneration

• Salary £33,000 – £43,000 depending on experience
• 40-hour week, Monday to Friday 14:00 – 22:30
• Holiday allowance and Pension
