Job Description:We are looking for a self motivated Health and Safety Officer to join the Vertiv team in Campsie, Northern Ireland. This role will report directly to the EHS Manager and working proactively with the Senior Management team.Holding a keen interest in best practice Health & Safety, the appointed candidate will be NEBOSH certified and bring an accommodating and positive approach to all aspects of their work.Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site audits to help prevent incidents/accidents and communicate all findings and suggestions for improvement to site management.
- Promote culture of safety first, raising hazard awareness and the importance of correct use of PPE (Safety Glasses, Footwear, Work Wear etc.)
- Ensure compliance & management of documentation in accordance with ISO 45001.
- Support the Production Supervisor in the identification and delivery of team members ‘performance.
- Foster culture of continuous improvement within production areas
- Develop an audit process and schedule to support the site’s needs.
- Responsible for communicating any changes to Operating instructions to all Team Leaders.
- Work Closely with production supervisor, Manager and Project Engineers to ensure deadlines are met while complying with H&S procedures.
Qualifications and Experience:
- NEBOSH Certified or Higher with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
- Analytical thinking, problem solving and decision making.
- Accuracy / consistency.
- Self-motivated.
- Experience in a predominantly site-based role (Desirable)
- NEBOSH Diploma/Degree qualified (Desirable)
