With women’s health firmly on the national agenda, we are offering an exciting opportunity to join us as our Health Professional Program Support Officer in full time contract until 30 June 2026.

About us:

Jean Hailes for Women’s Health, based in Melbourne’s CBD, is a leading national not for profit organisation, dedicated to creating healthy lives for all women, girls, and gender-diverse people.

Reporting to the Health Professional Program Manager, the Health Professional Program Support Officer will provide support to the health professional program (HPP) team. More broadly, the role contributes to the work of the HPP team supporting the development of evidence based continuing professional development courses and webinars and educational resources.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support the Health Professional Program Manager to coordinate and manage activities associated with health professional education:
    • Online course enrolments, review of content, communication with participants, course certificates.
    • Manage general enquires for health professional courses and webinars.
    • Evaluation – manage evaluation surveys, collate data for reporting, incorporate results into program planning process.
    • Accredited activity administration for membership organisations e.g. Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) or Australian College of Rural & Remote Medicine (ACCRM) including CPD hours/attendance, activity reporting, uploading of new activities.
  • Support online learning and webinar content development.
  • Communicate with subject matter internal and external experts for content development, or other initiatives.
  • Organizing conference attendance – resources and logistics.
  • Assist with webinars or key events such as conferences (this may include interstate travel and work outside of normal hours).
  • Assist Health Professional Program team members with activities and government contract deliverables including scoping, evaluation and reporting.
  • Manage the health professional program emails and assist with phone calls as required.

About you

This role is ideal for someone with public health, health promotion, education, online learning, nursing, health science or teaching experience who has a passion for women’s health and adult learning. You will have experience and exposure to Learning Management Systems (LMS) and passionate about delivering content to the highest possible standards.

We are seeking a candidate with excellent organisational skills, strong computer skills and the ability to build and develop positive relationships with various stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated experience with a learning management system (LMS), building content and back-end administration.
  • Can do attitude to manage multiple deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
  • Demonstrated experience in a project support role including administration or project coordination, ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
  • Strong customer service ethos, excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Well-developed time management skills and ability to prioritise workflow.
  • Confident and intermediate/advanced computer literacy skills including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of women’s health and health promotion principles.
  • RACGP CPD representative training.
  • Adult learning experience.
