Job description
We are currently looking for a Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to join our HSE team at our site in Ballymena.The purpose of the role is to implement a best in class, robust and effective Safety, Risk & Sustainability framework for each complex; whereby key risks are identified & understood with appropriate controls, contingencies and improvement action plans implemented so as to control and minimise risks across the complex.You will significantly contribute to the shaping of the business safety, risk and sustainability agenda and the evolution of effective and efficient safety and environmental management systems across the Group. Over time, you will develop and deliver initiatives that minimize the Complex’s environmental footprint and will shape how we apply circular economy principles to our operational practices.You will take a key role in ensuring compliance against regulations and environmental, social and governance (ESG) reporting standards.What You Will Need:
- NEBOSH Certificate or similar qualification / experience
- A minimum of 4 Years experience in a large scale manufacturing operation.
- Hands on experience in conducting audits, investigations & root cause analysis.
- Working knowledge of ISO 14001:2004.
- Understanding of environmental permitting regulations and permit management
- Excellent knowledge of NI, UK and EU Health and Safety legislation.
- Able to operate outside core hours when required and travel to other sites on occasions.
