Salary: Competitive, based on experienceAre you passionate about driving a safety-first culture? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health & Safety Lead to join our client and play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest safety standards within our rail operations.Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion and promote a safety-first mindset across all levels of the business.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to senior management and site teams on all aspects of Health & Safety.
  • Collate Health & Safety data from site works, identify trends, analyse findings, and implement actionable improvements.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a strong safety culture.
  • Conduct regular site visits and audits, ensuring adherence to all Health & Safety practices.
  • Develop and manage a robust programme of site visits and audits.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Deliver detailed feedback to all stakeholders on lessons learned from incidents and accidents.

About You:We are looking for an experienced professional with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A strong Health & Safety background in rail, with hands-on experience in a site-based environment.
  • A “can-do” attitude, driving and embedding a culture of safety.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and decision-making skills.
  • Confidence in liaising with colleagues at all levels, as well as clients and third parties.
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A NEBOSH qualification (essential).
  • Sentinel competencies (preferred but not essential).
