Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior H&S role ideally with a civils background.
NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent recognised safety qualification.
Proven ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and incident investigations.
Demonstrated success in driving a safety-first culture across teams.
Strong leadership, influencing, and communication skills.
Analytical mindset with a hands-on, solutions-focused approach.
Overview of Role:
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation and internal policies.
Conduct regular workplace inspections and document findings.
Develop, review, and maintain risk assessments and method statements.
Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement effective control measures.
Deliver HSE reports and performance metrics at management meetings.
Investigate incidents and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date health and safety records.
Organise and deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and induction briefings.
Act as the primary contact for internal audits, regulatory bodies, and external inspections.
Monitor and report on accidents, near-misses, and compliance KPIs.
Contribute to the development and testing of emergency response plans.
Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of HSE management systems.
Promote behavioural safety and a culture of continuous HSE improvement.
Provide coaching, support, and leadership on safety matters across all departments.
