Health & Safety Manager – AviationLocation: LondonSalary: Circa £65,000 – £75,000 Negotiable dependant on experience plus car / allowance and packageCompany / Role InformationA principal tier 1 contractor in the civil engineering and infrastructure sector is currently recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join the team in London and oversee projects within their Aviation division.
This role will cover multiple projects, including, Heathrow, Stansted and Birmingham airport.
Seeking an individual who will take responsibility for ensuring compliance with legislative, corporate, and other health and safety requirements.About you– Must have experience working in the Aviation Sector (Airports / Aviation Hub projects etc)
– NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, or equivalent
– CSCS card holder.
– A qualified internal health & safety auditor with demonstrable experience of completing internal audits.
– Lead Auditor status beneficial but not essential.
– An understanding of the requirements of BS OHSAS 18001:2007 and experience in facilitating registration surveillance visits.
– A working knowledge of current and impending health & safety legislation
– Good presentation, written, analytical and IT skills.
– Training and presentation experience throughout all levels of an organisation.
– Good interpersonal skills with the ability to guide and educate/train at all levels
– Self-confidence to build strong working relationships internally and externally.
– Demonstrable achievement in a similar role
