Health + Safety Officer
Job Description
Plans, organizes, and directs the School of Molecular Sciences safety program. Enforces compliance with state and federal health, safety and fire codes and reduces or prevents safety hazards, dangers or accidents in areas of hazardous materials, fire, life, occupational and/or industrial hygiene safety.

Essential Duties
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field AND four years’ experience in safety, fire prevention, environmental health, industrial hygiene or related field, which includes two year in supervisory capacity; OR, eight years’ experience in safety, fire prevention, environmental health, industrial hygiene or related field, which includes two year in supervisory capacity; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Our students are offered a wide range of research and learning experiences from the traditional areas through highly interdisciplinary and collaborative projects for which ASU is famous. Our faculty and students are tackling some of the most challenging molecular problems of today, combining theory, spectroscopy, structural analysis, synthesis, molecular biology and biogeochemistry to forge new fundamental understandings of the molecular world around us.
