The Role:

This important role in our Housing Department carries responsibility for establishing and
optimising the council’s new heat metering assets and services to ensure compliance, efficiency
and customer satisfaction.

The successful applicant will bear responsibility for all aspects of our new build and retrofit
heat meters including developing and adopting new policies and processes (including across
multiple departments), compliance, procurement, contractor management, quality assurance, data
flows, data protection and customer communications.

About You:

  • To be up to the challenge, you’ll need a sound grasp of heat metering technology and
    regulation, within the broader context of housing legislation and services. You will also have
    proven experience of heating/construction related projects and asset management in terms of
    health and safety legislation and customer service.
  • You will be positive and self-motivated and have a proven track record of problem solving
    to deliver successful outcomes. You will need to be a strong communicator and project manager
    in order to implement the necessary policies and processes across the organisation, managing a
    range of stakeholders.
  • You may be required to work outside of normal office hours to attend resident and council
    meetings, or even court sessions or hearings to represent the Council. Strong IT proficiency
    and previous experience in a similar role are essential.
