Chirpy Heat is the UK’s leading independent heat network advisor to the housing sector. We are
growing fast and are seeking someone to join our busy consultancy team.

The Role

The Heat Network Consultant will help lead the work of Chirpy Heat, developing and delivering
own projects, as well as providing support to others.

While this is a full-time role, we also welcome applications from people looking for part-time,
compressed or flexible hours, with a minimum contract of 4 days / 30 hours per week.

All our staff work at least some of the time at home. We have an office in Southwell,
Nottinghamshire, however many of our team are located across the UK and work remotely.

Duties & Responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Delivery of multiple Chirpy Heat projects.
  • Detailed assessment and analysis of information and data to create in-depth analysis,
    reports and action plans for clients.
  • Presentation of analysis and reports to clients and engagement with their teams for
    feedback on projects as they develop.
  • Reporting to the Chirpy Heat team on project progress, identifying any client and resource
    issues
  • Time and budget management.

Team Approach

  • Collaboration across the Chirpy Heat team to prioritise and deliver projects and services.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with clients, including attending meetings,
    producing activity and progress reports and identifying opportunities to exceed client
    requirements.

Business Development

  • Support business planning by working with potential new clients/contacts and providing
    excellent project support
  • Contribute to the strategy of the business, making suggestions for innovation and further
    improving the services provided
  • Write tender responses and proposals
  • Attend networking events and liaise with external partners to represent and promote Chirpy
    Heat and our clients.
  • Speak and present at relevant events and conferences.
  • Contribute to our case studies, website, blog and social media content

Knowledge & Understanding

This role is focussed on delivering excellent consultancy services to our existing and new
clients. Housing and heat network knowledge is a must. The candidate will:

  • Be degree educated in a relatable subject, or have equivalent professional experience
  • Have 1-3 years’ experience in an equivalent role focussing on energy efficiency and carbon
    reduction
  • Be able to build strong relationships with clients

Chirpy Heat was born from direct experience of managing heat networks whilst working in the
sector and this remains at the heart of everything we do. We now work with housing clients
across the country that are responsible for over 25% of all heat networks in the UK. We take
