Are you passionate about conservation and practical land management? We are seeking a dedicated
individual to take on the role of Helman Tor Reserves Officer. As a key member of our team, you
will play a crucial role in implementing habitat management, overseeing estate and
infrastructure, conducting biological monitoring, and ensuring health and safety compliance.

You will be responsible for practical land management and public engagement at Helman Tor
Nature Reserve. In this role, you will work in alignment with the management plan, stewardship
agreements, and the Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF) awarded grant.

Your responsibilities will extend to supervising contractors, coordinating volunteer labour,
and leading our dynamic Reserves team. Additionally, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to
manage the Developing Green Talent Trainee team, recruiting, organising, and supporting
trainees in practical reserves management.

Your impact will reach far and wide as you oversee the completion of conservation works aligned
with SPF awarded grants and manage the purchase of new conservation machinery and equipment
specified in the grant. You’ll contribute to the welfare of our community by recruiting,
developing, and supervising key volunteers and teams for practical reserve management and
grazing.

This multifaceted role will require you to collaborate with various stakeholders, from managing
practical contracts to maintaining tools and equipment. Your commitment to health and safety,
record-keeping, and budget management will be pivotal in ensuring the success of our nature
reserve initiatives.
