Movement(s) Communication Lead
HFHP – Healthy Food, Healthy Planet
United Kingdom or Remote, Europe
About us
Healthy Food Healthy Planet (HFHP) is a pan-European initiative uniting civil society organisations (CSOs) and funders by a shared vision: healthy, just and sustainable food environments. Committed to co-create, connect and co-finance, we are cultivating trust, building new narratives, and cross-pollinating an ecosystem to bolster new collaborations in food environments.
We want to:
- Be the linchpin between health, climate change, biodiversity, animal welfare, labor rights, transitional justice, and other interest groups that target food environments in Europe, and beyond;
- Uplift grassroots leaders and bottom-up initiatives, the true drivers of change within local contexts, to help drive global momentum, starting in Europe;
- Ensure that those most affected by our food system’s inequities are at the forefront of our work;
- Learn from and share openly past and future successes and failures.
We started in 2020, based on a sense of urgency that Europe’s excessive animal-sourced food consumption is harming people and our planet and hence needs to change. In 2021, we co-created with over 150 different voices a HFHP Strategic Framework, embracing a more regenerative, healthy and equitable approach to food environments. The coordination team is made of the Director and the Learning Lead and is supported by The Social Nest, HFHP’s fiscal host based in the UK.
We have a new opportunity for an experienced and skilled communication strategist to join our small team in a newly created role of Movement(s) Communication Lead.
