We are looking for a people-focused, creative and organised individual who will develop our holiday and volunteer programmes to being excellent. Capernwray was bought so it could open its doors for people to hear about Jesus. You will plan, lead and deliver Capernwray’s Holiday Programme each year such that the transforming presence of Jesus is proclaimed to a rich variety of guests. You will lead the Volunteer Team Programme so as to recruit, on-board, schedule and care for the many volunteers each year who join our community.
Responsibilities:

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, to take shared responsibility for the spiritual and pastoral health and needs within our community, to be a catalyst for unity, to take a personal interest in and be a support to others, and to challenge graciously where needed.

To create and champion an ongoing vision and strategy for both the Holidays and Volunteers Programmes which are relevant, attractive and sustainable.

To plan, lead and manage the overall delivery of the Holiday programme, inviting external speakers while also building capability within others to help plan, lead and deliver individual parts.

To lead the Volunteer Team Programme striving to enable positive recommendations from them to their networks at home.

To lead the overall delivery of the SaLT Programme, ensuring that the diverse needs of the ministry are met and efficiently scheduled while building capability in Department Heads to play an active role in the programme.

To develop the Ministry Assistant volunteers themselves through the creation of a structured syllabus and development programme which enables them to serve well, grow spiritually and explore emerging talents in many practical and spiritual areas, each year.

To be the Senior Designated Safeguarding Lead for the ministry delivering high standards of culture and compliance. To recruit, train and develop Deputy DSL’s as required.

To manage your staff team.
