What you’ll be doing in this role
As a Uniting Home Care Worker, you will help us ensure continuity of care for our clients as you provide support and companionship for older people living in the Blacktown area. You will empower independence and improve the quality of life for our clients in their own homes.
With a focus on supporting our clients to stay independent for as long as possible, duties and responsibilities may include:
- Help at home: housekeeping, grocery shopping or meal preparation
- Personal Care: personal hygiene, toileting, showering, dressing, helping at mealtime or with medication administration
- Transport for wellbeing: appointments or shopping trips or accompanying clients on social support activities
Qualifications and experience
- Fluent in Greek
- Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent
- Similar experience providing person-centred care
- Current First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain
- Driver’s license and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle
