Position description

The WFP Solidarity Collective is hiring for the position of Honduras Program Coordinator located in Progreso, Honduras.

The Witness for Peace Solidarity Collective is a nonprofit organization working in partnership with grassroots organizations, Black, Indigenous and campesino communities, and social movements in Colombia, Cuba, and Honduras to support peace, justice, and sustainable economies in the Americas. We work to change U.S. policies that contribute to poverty and oppression in Latin America and the Caribbean. Most notably, we advocate for the passage of the Berta Cacerés Act, a landmark bill calling for the suspension of military aid to Honduras until widespread human rights violations are addressed. The bill is named after the award-winning Honduran environmental defender, Berta Cacerés who was assassinated in 2016.
