Role: HR AdvisorLocation: Central Beds College – Dunstable Campus with Travel to other campuses.Salary/Benefits: Salary from £26,000 DOE and Qualifications, 27 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, Peoples pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.Hours/Weeks: 37 hours/52 WeeksContract Type: Permanent – Full TimeAbout the role:We are currently seeking a HR advisor to join our HR and Payroll department at Central Bedford College – Dunstable Campus.As a HR advisor you play an important role in the success of our college through:

  • To work effectively as a member of the Human Resources team to provide a responsive and high quality Human Resources service to the Bedford College Group employee base.
  • To provide professional, confidential and consistent advice and guidance on all employment matters.
  • To carry out all aspects of the role in line with The Bedford College Group’s (TBCG) culture and values

About you:

  • English and Maths GCSE (A – C) or equivalent (Level 2)
  • CIPD level 3 or Business Admin qualificationExperience of working in a highly pressurised environment
  • Proven track record of ER experience
  • Experience of dealing with multiple queries from various stakeholders
  • Experience of working in recruitment or HR department
  • Experience of using computerised HR/payroll systems
  • Excellent IT skills to include Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel etc.)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to deal with sensitive data confidentially
  • Ability to deal with multiple challenging stakeholders with different capability levels and different priorities.
